Apply for Singapore Citizenship
Information on applying for Singapore Citizenship while travelling or residing in Mainland China.
With effect from 25 October 2018, parents with Singapore Citizenship (SC) may submit the SC application for their children (including overseas-born minors) online via the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) e-Service (opens in new tab) with their SingPass.

Non-English language documents / Documents issued in China
Documents not printed in the English Language must be officially translated to English.
Bring the documents to a local Notary Public for legalisation. A Notarial Certificate should be issued accordingly.
The documents are then to be presented to the Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) of the province or municipality for legalisation.
Collection of Citizenship Certificate
The Consulate-General will inform you when the citizenship certificate is ready for collection at our office. The applicant or spouse must come to the Consulate personally with the child must be present to collect the citizenship certificate.
