Minister of State (Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of National Development) Mr Zaqy Mohamad visited Hangzhou from 15 to 18 October 2018 to take part in the 9th International Forum on Work Safety hosted by the PRC Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM). At the Forum, MOS Zaqy delivered a speech on Singapore’s experience and policies on work safety and occupational hazards. MOS Zaqy also called on MEM Vice Minister Sun Huashan and met Hangzhou Vice Mayor Chen Weiqiang. Minister Zaqy took the opportunity to visit several prominent Hangzhou companies such as Alibaba and Hikvision, as well as social enterprises like the Zaishuiyifang Group (在水一方) to explore possibilities for further collaboration with Singapore.
