VISIT OF AMBASSADOR STANLEY LOH TO ZHEJIANG, 18 TO 20 JULY 2018

Singapore Ambassador to the PRC Mr Stanley Loh made an official visit to Ningbo and Hangzhou in Zhejiang province from 17 to 20 July 2018. In Hangzhou, Ambassador Loh met Zhejiang Governor Yuan Jiajun and Hangzhou Mayor Xu Liyi.  While in Ningbo, Ambassador met Ningbo Mayor Qiu Dongyao and visited the Ningbo-Zhoushan port. During Ambassador Loh’s meeting with Governor Yuan, both sides agreed that Singapore and Zhejiang could step up our cooperation in areas such as port and maritime management, as well as in technological innovation and the digital economy. Ambassador Loh also looked forward to Governor Yuan’s upcoming visit to Singapore in August 2018, which would be a good opportunity to promote further exchanges and collaboration. Both sides also agreed that the Singapore-Zhejiang Economic and Trade Council (SZETC), the main platform of our cooperation, has been useful in furthering Singapore-Zhejiang relations over the years.
