WORKING VISIT OF SMS JANIL PUTHUCHEARY, COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION, AND EDUCATION, 15 TO 17 APRIL 2018

Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of Education, Dr Janil Puthucheary made a study visit to Shanghai, Wuxi, and Hangzhou accompanied by officials from the Information and Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA) and the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI). SMS Janil visited prominent Chinese tech companies such as Alibaba and Huawei. SMS Janil also visited the Wuxi National Supercomputing Centre and the Hangzhou Digital City Management, where SMS discussed the collection and use of big data. SMS also witnessed the signing of an MOU between the Wuxi National Supercomputing Centre, IMDA, and the National Supercomputing Centre in Singapore.
