CG Ong Siew Gay attended a gathering of Shanghai-based Singaporeans at the Consulate General on 23 November 2014. The gathering was held in appreciation of Singaporean volunteers who helped in organizing the Singapore Fiesta 2014, a one-day outdoor carnival event held in September in collaboration with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Shanghai Alumni chapter to promote Singapore products, food and culture. Shanghai is home to the largest community of Overseas Singaporeans in Mainland China.
