        Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, has been conferred the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize 2014 for its demonstration of sound planning principles and good urban management. The Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize is a biennial international award recognizing cities and their key leaders and organizations for displaying foresight, good governance and innovation in tackling urban challenges to bring about social, economic and environmental benefits in a holistic way to their communities.
