CG Ong Siew Gay calls on Shanghai Vice Mayor Tu Guangshao

Consul-General Ong Siew Gay called on Shanghai Vice Mayor (VM) Tu Guangshao on 17 April 2012. VM Tu is an old friend of Singapore, having visited Singapore during an internship in 1992. VM Tu had high praise for Singapore, noting that the city-state has its own unique experience in various fields of public policy, including environmental conservation and urban planning. CG Ong reaffirmed the close relationship between Singapore and Shanghai and highlighted our wide-ranging investment activities in property, IT, finance, healthcare and retail sectors. He presented VM Tu with a Chinese version of former MM Lee Kuan Yew's book "Hard Truths to Keep Singapore Going".
